    You tell me what you need: the audience, the message, the deadline and any must-haves. A quick call is usually enough, but sometimes we need to go deeper. If you only have a rough idea, I'll help you shape it into a clear brief.

    Discovery

    I ask questions, read background material and get up to speed on your products, tone and objectives.

  3. III.

    First draft

    I deliver a clean first draft within the agreed timeframe, written for your audience and ready for feedback.

  4. IV.

    Refinement

    We refine the copy until it's right. I'll push back when something isn't working and I'll keep going when the piece needs it.

    Handover

    You receive final copy, properly formatted and ready to publish, pitch or present.

How long does a project take?

It depends on the piece. A single article can be a few days; a white paper or retainer is scoped individually. I'll always give you a realistic timeframe upfront.

Do you work on retainer?

Yes. I work with several clients on a regular basis, either on a monthly retainer or a day rate.

Can you work with our compliance team?

Absolutely. I'm used to working with compliance and legal teams to make sure copy is accurate and approved.

What if I don't have a brief yet?

That's fine. I often help clients generate ideas and work out what to say or write about. We'll talk it through and I'll turn your thoughts into a clear, usable brief.
